Object Description: The central figure in El Picador is the picador, a mounted bullfighter armed with a lance, whose role in the traditional bullfight is to weaken the bull before the matador delivers the fatal blow. The picador is shown riding a horse, poised and resolute as he jabs his lance into the bull, with the animal in the midst of a moment of pain and fury.
